Nerds Abroad’s NEW technology seminars!

We are pleased to announce a NEW community-based program, beginning later this Spring in the Portland Metro area. Our board and volunteers have been working together to create a program that is more localized and impactful in the communities we serve. Our hope is to beta test over the next few months around the Portland area, and then create a solid program guide for repetition around the globe.

So, what is it‽

Our approach is simple: We will come to community centers, schools, churches and other gathering areas for 1 day on a weekend. Participants can drop-in to our seminars or they can sign up before-hand through our webpage (coming soon!) for a 30 minute time slot with one of our volunteers or board members. During this time, we are available to serve as an educator or repair person. If there is a piece of technology or a feature you don’t quite understand, we can walk you through how to more fully use your electronics! If one of your technology pieces is broken, we can show you quick fixes, or put you in touch with trusted and reliable specialists who will get you up-to-speed. It is that easy!

Nerds Abroad is coming to YOUR community!

We are currently in the networking phase of this project. If your community would like to host one of our seminars, please drop us a line! We would love to connect!

Name name

We have yet to come up with a name for this new program. If you have any thoughts or comments, comment below or give us a shout!

And remember…

Keep an eye on our eBay page! We have sold more than $1500 in electronics this past month. This funding is going to help create our new program and to continue to build our sustainable funding model. Our Amazon Smiles program is still going strong, too!
